Adult Board & Ministry Team
Ministry Partner/Treasurer – Shannon Chambers
Shannon shares life with her husband, Michael and six children, Kayla, Ray, Jasonna, Armani, Will and Jaden. She is a native of Winston-Salem who relocated south to Concord, NC nearly twenty years ago. She works with a variety of charitable organizations through her own business, Program Solutions.
Shannon is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BA in Sociology and Latin American Studies and holds graduate certificates in Nonprofit Management from UNCC and Duke University.
Shannon is determined to love the unlovable and touch the untouchable. Her hope is that the Christ in her will flow like a river of reconciliation to those who have been rejected and refused. She is glad to fill the role of Good Samaritan when the opportunity presents itself but more importantly, she feels called to challenge societal structures and strongholds that leave people broken as they make their journey on life's highway.
“Then He turned to the host. ‘The next time you put on a dinner, don’t just invite your friends and family and rich neighbors, the kind of people who will return the favor. Invite some people who never get invited out, the misfits from the wrong side of the tracks.
You’ll be – and experience – a blessing. They won’t be able to return the favor, but the favor will be returned – oh, how it will be returned! – at the resurrection of God’s people.'”
(Luke 14:12-14 – The Message)
Ministry Partner - Roslyn Maglione
Roslyn was born in Illinois and lived there many years, but also moved around a lot due to her father’s work. Roslyn attended college at UNC Charlotte and has worked in the policing field for more than 25 years. Roslyn has been married for almost 23 years and has two children; one is in her 20’s and the other is a teenager in high school.
Roslyn went to church all through her childhood and really accepted Jesus as her Savior at age 15. There were a number years in her 20’s when she stopped going to church and her prayer life was not a top priority, but she also noticed that her life felt out of kilter and was difficult without His guidance. It took a well-placed invitation to Crossroads Church to get Roslyn back on track and loving and praising God the way she was meant to.
Roslyn’s life experiences have placed her in a perfect position to minister to women due to her previous work in the domestic violence field and the many life lessons she has learned from her marriage, family, friends, and people she has dealt with in her career.
Roslyn totally believes in the power of God’s healing and forgiveness. She has been given so many miracles in her life in these areas and hopes to share that with anyone in need of that message.
Roslyn has been on a mission trip to Puerto Rico that taught her way more than she could give and really confirmed God’s amazing love and always trusting in Him in everything.
Two scriptures that have become a staple in Roslyn’s life as a reminder that everything is in His hands and not accomplished through her power:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6
“I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
Ministry Partner – Tanya Staton
Tanya has been married for 44 years to her husband Lynn. She is the mother of two children and five wonderful grandchildren. She is the Founder of Chariots of Fire Intl' Ministries. Tanya was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina and moved to Concord as a young girl. She found the Lord at the age of 8 sitting under her Fathers ministry, who was a pastor at that time. At the age of 12 she was filled with the Holy Spirit. At the age of 13, Tanya taught her first Sunday School class, starting with the Toddlers in her home church. Since that time she has taught and ministered to every age in Sunday school. At the age of 25 while at home in Reidsville, NC the Lord spoke to her and asked her when she was going to obey His call upon her life. Tanya remembers distinctly saying to the Lord, "Lord I am too young to preach, I have no idea what to say to people. Where do I fit into the body of Christ?"
The Lord immediately spoke to her and told her to turn to Jeremiah 1:5-10
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations." "Then I said, Alas Lord God! Behold I do not know what to say, Because I am to young. But the Lord said to me, "Do not say, I am too young, Because everywhere I send you, you shall go. And all that I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them. For I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord." Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth and the Lord said to me, "Behold I have put my words in your mouth. See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms. To pluck up and to break down, To destroy and to overthrow, To build and to plant."
Tanya submitted to the call of God upon her life that very day and has been following Jesus wherever He leads her to go. She has learned to listen for His voice even in the midst of storms she has faced. Tanya walks in the office of a Prophet/Prophetess and has been given many prophetic words both personal and in ministry. As she has ministered there have manifestations of the Holy Spirit, such as miracles, signs and wonders. She was shown in a dream the Tragedy of 911. The night before America was attacked she dreamed in detail what was going to happen. At 3 a.m. that morning she laid in bed crying and shaking and not know what the dream meant till the interpretation of it came as the news unfolded. Tanya firmly believes in the “finished work of Christ”. Knowing that nothing can ever separate us from the love of God. Tanya has known both tragedy and triumph. She has had two children to come very close to death, as well as two grandchildren. She is a firm believer in the miraculous and knows that God is always giving miracles to His beloved. Her children and granddaughters are alive today because of Gods mercy and power to heal and deliver.
Throughout her life Tanya has faced many things, but through all of them God has made her stronger and wiser. Through brokenness and shame she has learned what true forgiveness was and what unconditional love truly is about. She has a great love for all people and has learned to not judge and pull out from under the blood what God has already forgiven. Tanya believes that God has so much more for people. She wants to help empower men, women and children by teaching them who they are in Christ, and to show forth His unconditional love for the world and everyone in it. Tanya also has a heart for missions and is hoping to travel much more to the mission fields.
Tanya has served her church by being a Sunday school teacher to all ages. She has chaired on the Financial Board for six years, has been a personal secretary to two different pastors. She chaired the Deliverance Team for ten years, She was heavily involved in the leadership of Women's Ministry and Youth Ministry, both in her church and in small groups. Tanya speaks at conferences to both large and small groups of people. She has traveled in and outside of the United States carrying the gospel of Jesus Christ where ever she goes. She has a burning passion for the Lord. Many times you will hear her call God "PAPA" because He is a true Father to her.
Tanya attended Faith Bible College for three years. She attended Bible School Seminars through satellite for two years. She is both a licensed and ordained minister, and looks forward to becoming more knowledgeable in the Word of God. Tanya is excited about all God has in store for Oaks of Righteousness Ministries and to be serving alongside this team of women as a fellow Ministry Partner.
